Dr. Jerome Stewart
Superintendent of Midlothian Independent School District
Dr. Stewart began his educational career in 1987 as a teacher/coach in Amarillo ISD. From 1990-1992, he served as assistant principal at Amarillo High School. He later served as principal in Pampa ISD, Waco ISD and Lago Vista ISD. Stewart was Superintendent for Yorktown ISD from 2001-2005 and Canton ISD from 2005-2010.
His Undergraduate degree in religion was earned at Simpson College (Iowa). He earned a Master of Science Education from Drake University (Iowa) and a Doctor of Education Administration from Baylor University. Dr Stewart received his mid-management and superintendent certifications from West Texas A&M University.
Dr. Stewart and his wife Raquel have four children. Elliott is an Army veteran and plans to earn a doctorate in medicine. Gabriel, a Texas National Guard soldier, is pursing a major in government with a minor in math at UT Austin, while in the Army ROTC. Eric is an Army Ranger and currently serving in his third deployment. Jennifer is enrolled at Navarro Community College (Midlothian).
