FAST and Fantastic for Midlothian ISD

Midlothian ISD earned five stars – the top rating – on the Financial Allocation Study for Texas (FAST). Out of 1,100 independent school districts in Texas, only 31 earned the top  rating.

In 2009, the Comptroller was charged to “identify school districts and campuses that use resource allocation practices that contribute to high academic performance and cost-effective operations.”  Districts and campuses are rated from 1 (lowest) to five (highest) in half-star increments. A five star rating means high academic performance (English Language Arts/Reading and Math) and a spending index of very low.

So, congratulations to Midlothian ISD on its five star FAST rating.
