Chris Kyle, An American Hero, Visits Midlothian ISD

On Feb 20, 2012, Midlothian ISD was honored when Chris Kyle came to the Midlothian High School’s auditorium and shared with teachers and staff his life experiences, wit and wisdom.

Chris is a former Navy SEAL sniper. He is the author of “American Sniper: The Autobiography of the Most Lethal Sniper in U.S. Military History.”

He is an American hero.

As noted on the back, inside cover of his book, “SEAL Team 3 Chief Chris Kyle served four combat tours in Operation Iraqi Freedom and elsewhere. For his bravery in battle, he was awarded two Silver Stars, five Bronze Stars with Valor, two Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and one Navy and Marine Corps Commendation …”

Chris’s presentation was conducted in an interview format. Mr. Ron Bland, MHS Teacher, was the interviewer. The questions provided Chris with opportunities to share material from the book and also from outside his autobiography.

Part of Chris’s message was an encouragement for our students to love this country.

It was an honor that Chris Kyle, an American hero, visited Midlothian ISD.
