Reading for Love

Ms. Kerry Hutchinson teaches a class known as Community Based Instruction (CBI). In it are some very precious children.

One student, Jedi, was out of class for an extended period of time.

But out of sight, does not mean out of mind, or in this case, out of heart for the teacher and her students.

Using a tablet and a program called FaceTime, the kids contacted Jedi and read to him Green Eggs and Ham.

You may have heard of  “Reading for the Love of It.” This is better. It’s reading for love. It’s not a program, it’s readers – a teacher and her students – who are very loving people.
