Vitovsky Receives Award

Ms. Wagoner, JAV Principal, with Distinguished Title I Campus Plaque

On Tuesday, May 15, 2012, J. A. Vitovsky Elementary School (Midlothian ISD) was recognized at a ceremony hosted by Region 10 Education Support Center.

The recognition was for Distinguished Title I Campus by the Texas Education Agency. A plaque was accepted by Vitovsky’s Principal, Ms. Cherie Wagoner.

This is a great accomplishment and we are very proud of Vitovsky for this special recognition.

Criteria for Distinguished Title I Campus

  • Title I, Part A campus in 2009-10, 2010-11, and 2011-12;
  •  Maintained a campus residing population of 40% or more low-income in 2011-12;
  • Met AYP in 2010 and 2011;
  • Achieved a campus rating in Spring 2011 of Exemplary;
  • Achieved a campus rating in Spring 2010 of either Exemplary or Recognized; and
  • Achieved a campus rating in Spring 2009 of either Exemplary or Recognized.
