A Special Commencement Speech

The other day I was introduced to a special commencement speech. It’s not just really good, but spectacularly good. The occasion was the graduation of Southwestern Assemblies of God (SAGU), April 27, 2012.

The speech is a special blend of an English major’s perspective on story, the secular, and the religious. It is delivered flawlessly and without notes.

The speaker is Megan Timmerman, SAGU student and daughter of T-Kay Timmerman, Librarian at J. R. Irvin Elementary School (Midlothian ISD).

Megan credits a great deal of her success to her Midlothian ISD teachers, librarians, and school experiences.

To listen to the speech (approximately 9 minutes) please go to Megan’s Commencement Speech.
