MISD 2012 Summer Construction Projects

Material for track repair

The summer is generally a good time for construction, repair, and maintenance projects for schools. For the summer of 2012, here are some undertakings for Midlothian ISD.

One project is the addition to Frank Seale Middle School – one of the two 2011 Bond projects. The actual construction is scheduled to begin the week of June 11, 2012, depending on sub-contractor contracts and the weather.

Another project is underway right now (June 7, 2012): additional top soil added to the playground at Baxter Elementary School. That area had a lot of exposed rock. This project will address that condition. The project should be completed within two weeks.

Last, two MISD tracks are to be repaired: Midlothian High School (project underway now – June 7, 2012) and Frank Seale Middle School (project to start after the MHS track repair is completed). Both projects should be completed within a couple of weeks.
