Students Teach Teachers

Clayton Christensen, the author of The Innovator’s Dilemma: When New Technologies Cause Great Firms to Fail (1997) and Harvard professor, writes in a section titled, “In Gratitude,” the following acknowledgment that all teachers find some truth:

“I am grateful to my students, with whom I have discussed and refined ideas put forward in this book. On most days I leave class wondering why I get paid and why my students pay tuition, given that it is I who have learned the most from our interactions.”

I know that my students enrich my life.
