State Distinguished Performance Schools

IMG_7927Two of Midlothian ISD’s schools were eligible for a prestigious recognition: State Distinguished Performance Schools. The two schools were J.R. Irvin Elementary and J.A. Vitovsky Elementary.

Both were eligible and both earned the title of  State Distinguished Performance School.

Accepting the awards for their schools were Mrs. Jeanne Ray (Irvin) and Mr. Kyle Chambers (Vitovsky).

Congratulations to Irvin and Vitovsky Elementary Schools.


Criteria for State Distinguished Performance School

Title I, Part A Campus 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13
40% of more low-income in 2012-13
Met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in 2011 and 2012
Spring 2011 Exemplary
Spring 2010 Exemplary or Recognized
Spring 2009 Academically Unacceptable or Academically Acceptable
