But when you do a charitable deed, do not let your left hand know
what your right hand is doing, that your charitable deed may be in secret.
I like it when the IRS knows that I do a charitable deed, like a donation to a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization.
I like it when the tax-exempt, nonprofit organization writes me a letter that expresses how much they appreciate me and my gift so that the IRS knows that I did a charitable deed.
I like it when the tax-exempt, nonprofit organization puts my name on a list of donors and publishes the list.
But can any earthly recognition be better than my Heavenly Father’s knowledge of my good deeds done in secret?
It can’t, but it still is hard to do my charitable deeds in secret because I like it when the IRS knows …
